Cambrils Park Business & Events will host the second conference of the Camp de Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre Catalan Cuisine Congress. The aim of this event is to foster, consolidate and strengthen the Catalan cuisine across the world; define the actor map in cuisine and gastronomy and promote the country’s strategy. The conference is addressed to students at Hospitality and Tourism Schools; University students attracted by communication, tourism and gastronomy; gastronomic and tourism sector professionals.
The event will take place next 5th of November at the Cambrils Park Business & Events Convention centre. It is in the municipality of Cambrils, specially known for its Mediterranean diet gastronomy.
The Congress will start at 9:30 am with an opening speech by the TV3 journalist, Xavier Grasset, who will also moderate the debate. From 10:00 to 11:30 there will be speeches given by all the invited speakers who will share professional and personal experiences. In addition, digital material will be displayed. After the break, a round table and a debate will be held where all attendees will be able to take part in. At the end, Grasset will close the event.
The conference will bring together Michelin Star Chefs like Eduard Xatruch, from Barcelona’s restaurant Disfrutar; Vicent Guimerà, from Antic Molí restaurant in Ulldecona; Oriol Ivern, from Hisop restaurant in Barcelona; and Montse Abellà from Santceloni restaurant in Madrid. There will also be well known chefs from the Camp de Tarragona area like Jaume Solé, PortAventura World’s Executive Chef, or young talented cookers like Mohamed Quauch, from El Terrat Restaurant in Tarragona, or Ferran Cerró from FC Restaurant in Reus. The wine industry will also be there with Raúl Vega from Bodegas de Santo Tomás from the Ensenada Baja California; or Elisenda Villalta from Espai de Millora Enogastronomia – Patronat de Turisme Costa Daurada Diputació de Tarragona.
